This super soft yarn is hand-dyed using 100% GOTS certified unmercerized cotton imported from Peru. Our yarn is dyed, then overdyed over multiple days to create an effect similar to kettle dyeing with subtle color variations.
This listing is for a single skein of defected Stormy Lupine in sport weight. The colorway turned out the same as our regularly priced skeins, however, there is a section in the skein where 1 of the 3 plies is broken and the yarn will likely need to be cut and tied in that section. This defect wasn't found until the very end, so if you're willing to cut the skein and create a knot, this is a great deal!
Tanguis cotton is a Peruvian cotton which is very soft, durable, and environmentally friendly as it needs less water to grow than other varieties. Our cobweb weight yarn is made of Pima cotton, which has an extra-long staple length, making it a durable yarn choice for hard-wearing items. Our yarn is perfect for knitting, weaving, or crochet.
