This colorway has been dyed grey then overdyed with the green, red, and brown patches of colors. Dyeing the sliver this way will create short segments of color randomly dispersed throughout the yarn. There is some variation within each color that makes any project truly unique.
I've used the same cotton as I do for my punis, so it's ethically sourced (100% GOTS certified) as well as combed for making smooth yarn.
15% of proceeds from this listing will be donated to Las Gralarias Foundation which raises funds for Reserva Las Gralarias in Mindo, Ecuador. The goal of the reserve is to protect land at varying altitudes of cloud forest habitat that would otherwise be used for agricultural purposes. I was fortunate enough to intern at the reserve for a month in 2011 and am confident that funds will be put towards much needed conservation efforts. The reserve has an abundance of amphibians, which is why all the colorways with 15% of proceeds going to Las Gralarias are reptile and amphibian inspired. Visit reservalasgralarias.com to learn more!
We have made our best attempt to color correct the product photos to accurately represent the colors.
